AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Santa Cruz Wash Regional Flood Control Solution project will bring approximately 3,000 acres of land in the center of the City of Maricopa out of the Santa Cruz floodplain to allow for commercial and residential development. The improvement will provide economic development opportunities in the area and provides a uniform solution to the issue which will become usable open space in the future.  This budgetary transfer will provide the project with the necessary funding to begin.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve a budgetary transfer of $1,000,000 from General Government DIF Fund, Public Works, Improvements Other Than Buildings, Santa Cruz Wash Regional Flood Control Solution (34555155-67730-31005) to General Government CIP Fund, Public Works, Improvements Other Than Buildings, Santa Cruz Wash Regional Flood Control Solution (35055155-67730-31005).
