TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly ratify a letter by Mayor Price requesting Arizona Department of Health Services Director Will Humble to support Chandler Regional Medical Center's application for a Level I Trauma Center designation. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Mayor Price is a participant on the Chandler Regional Medical Center Trauma Advisory Committee. The Committee is supportive of Chandler Regional Medical Center receiving a Level 1 Trauma Center designation. The opening of Chandler Regional Medical Center's Level I Trauma Center would benefit the southeast valley region and Maricopa residents directly. As the Mayor of Maricopa and a member of the Advisory Committee, Mayor Price added his signature in support, to the attached letter dated February 21, 2014.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council ratify this letter in support of a Level I Trauma Center designation at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
