TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approval of a contract with DWA Construction Company, LLC for various concrete repairs throughout the City and within Pacana Park. Funding for this contract, in a total amount not to exceed $117,762, will be drawn from the following sources: $18,000 from General Government CIP Fund, Park Maintenance, Improvements Other Than Buildings, Pacana Park Renovations (35033132-67730-33015); and $99,762 from Highway Users Revenue Fund, Public Works, Repairs and Maintenance (20055151-55430). This contract is in compliance with City of Maricopa Purchasing Code Article IV, Section 3-215 "Bidding Procedure." Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
As part of the City's annual maintenance program, Public Works’ Street Maintenance Division identifies broken or heaved concrete that must be repaired. Broken sidewalks may cause problems with ADA compliance and also may be tripping hazards. Additionally, concrete repair is needed to supplement asphalt repairs when roads and the adjoining curbs and gutters settle. This contract will allow Public Works to address necessary concrete repairs in the city, and will allow Community Services to address additional concrete repair work that is needed in Pacana Park.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve the contract with DWA Construction Company, LLC, for various concrete repairs throughout the city and within Pacana Park.
