TITLE
The City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on selecting a method and process by which to fill the vacancy on the City Council. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On October 4, Councilmember Alan Marchione resigned his position as Councilmember of the City of Maricopa effective immediately.
On October 16, the City Council approved an application and directed staff to accept applications beginning October 17 through 5 p.m. October 30. During this agenda item, staff will communicate to Council the number of applications received as of the application closing time and date and seek direction on the next step in the process.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council direct staff on the appointment process to fill the vacancy on the Maricopa City Council.
