TITLE
An Ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, adopting the document filed with the City Clerk and entitled "2026 Amendments to Title 18: Zoning" by reference to add Section 18.76.125 regarding food truck courts in the Maricopa Station Overlay and to amend Sections 18.76.060, and 18.115.040 of the Maricopa City Code and providing for severability and the effective date thereof. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
A request by the City of Maricopa for review and approval of proposed text amendments to the Maricopa City Code, Section 18.76.125 Maricopa Station Overlay, 18.76.060 Land Use Regulations, and 18.115.040 Exempt Signs Discussion and Action.
This is a request to formally amend the Maricopa City Code by requesting comprehensive revisions to Chapter 18, of the Maricopa City Code. The City initiated text amendments will allow for continued refinement of the City Code to reflect changes in policies and procedures, allow for clerical corrections, and address the overall accuracy and usability of the Code. More specifically, the proposed amendments would accomplish the following:
1. Updates multiple sections of the City Code to be consistent with current development trends and standards.
2. Addresses any Scrivener errors identified in the Code.
General Revisions:
Section 18.76.060 Maricopa Station Overlay - Adds Food Truck Courts as a permitted use in the Maricopa Station overlay.
Section 18.76.125 Food Truck Courts - Adds development standards to the Maricopa Station Overlay regarding Food Truck Court development.
