TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving an Extension of License Agreement with Qwest Broadband Services Inc., d/b/a CenturyLink, a Delaware corporation, for a period of Five (5) Years. Discussion and Action.
 
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On May 3, 2005, the City of Maricopa approved a "License Agreement to Provide Cable Services" with Qwest Broadband Services Inc. for a period of ten (10) years. Since that time Quest has become CenturyLink.  As part of the licensing renewal process representatives requested a five (5) year extension of their current agreement. CenturyLink stated that this option was preferred, given the regulatory and technology changes that will be taking place over the next 5 years.  
 
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the approval of this five year license agreement extension with CenturyLink.
