TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on recommending approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control for a Special Event Liquor License application submitted by William Dunn III on behalf of Action Alliance Network, LLC for a special event known as the 8th Annual Salsa Festival on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Pacana Park at 19000 N Porter Rd. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The State of Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control requires that an application for Special Event License be approved by local government before submission to their office.
In preparation for the Salsa Festival that is planned for Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Pacana Park, Action Alliance Network LLC has submitted an application for Councils' consideration in recommending approval for handling the sale of liquor at the event.
This is the eight year in holding this community event. The Salsa Festival provides an opportunity for our community to join together and foster community spirit while creating memories for legacies to come. Staff is currently preparing for this event and everything is moving forward in the planning process to ensure satisfaction and safety of all parties.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control for a Special Event Liquor License for the 8th Annual Salsa Festival on March 31, 2012.
