AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control requires that an Application for Special Event License be approved by local government before submission to their office.
In preparation for the Night Market Time Machine that is planned for January 13, 2023 at Copper Sky, Michael Wheeler has applied for Councils' consideration in recommending approval for the special event liquor license.
This is the first year in producing this event. We will celebrate five decades in one night, with the 50's starting at 5 p.m. and advancing to the next decade at the top of the next hour with music, fads, fashion and cars! As with all of the night markets, we will also have artisans, business, and food vendors along with a beer garden. We will have limited on-site parking and strongly encouraging use of the complimentary shuttle service.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Special Event Liquor License for the Night Market Time Machine on January 13, 2023.
