TITLE
The City Council shall discuss and take action to approve Amendment No. One to the existing Intergovernmental Agreement with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for pavement improvements along Anderson Road and Peters and Nall Road. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City Council shall review and possibly approve Amendment Number One to the existing Intergovernmental Agreement with ADOT for additional Federal-Aid funds. On 4/12/21 the City entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement with ADOT to construct pavement improvements on Anderson Road, Maricopa Casa Grande Highway to Peters and Nall Road; and on Peters and Nall Road, Antone Street to Anderson Road. This project is federally funded with Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) funds.
Based upon an updated construction cost estimate from ADOT, the City requested an additional $1,345,986 of Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) close-out funding. The additional Federal-Aid funding included a 5.7% local match ($1,269,265 Federal funding, $76,721 local funding). The revised total funding for the project is $1,987,000 ($1,873,741 Federal funding and $113,259 local funding). The local funding for the project will be drawn from Transportation DIF accounting string 34655151-67755-40036.
This is an updated IGA to replace the one previously approved by IGA 22-05 on June 21, 2022.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of Ammendment No. One to the Intergovernmental Agreement with ADOT to construct pavement improvements on Anderson Road, Maricopa Casa Grande Highway to Peters and Nall Road; and on Peters and Nall Road, Antone Street to Anderson Road.
