TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arizona Department of Revenue regarding Transaction Privilege Tax collections for Fiscal Year 2015 - 2016. Discussion and Action.

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

In July 2015 the City of Maricopa entered into an IGA with the Department of Revenue regarding TPT collections for the current fiscal year. This MOU provides supplemental information regarding the expectations of performance by the Department of Revenue in exchange for the fees paid by the City for this service. The attached Performance Measures are a first in Intergovernmental Agreements as they provide a benchmark for services received from the State.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the MOU be adopted and remitted to the Arizona Department of Revenue.
