TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve an Interim Presiding Judge Agreement with Lyle Riggs. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On October 6, 2015, the Mayor and City Council approved an Interim Presiding Judge Agreement with Lyle Riggs for six (6) months. This agreement expires on April 15, 2016. This proposed agreement will appoint Lyle Riggs as the Interim Presiding Judge from April 16, 2016 through October 15, 2016. During this time, City staff will be recommending revisions to Chapter 5 of the City Code regarding the Municipal Court and, thereafter, the appointment of Lyle Riggs as the City's Presiding Judge on a non-interim basis. This Agreement has been reviewed and approved by Lyle Riggs.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Mayor and Council approve the Interim Presiding Judge Agreement.
