TITLE
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, declaring as a public record that certain document filed with the City Clerk and entitled "2016 Amendments to Chapter 14 Subdivision Regulations" of the Maricopa City Code, relating to the establishment of rules and regulations for the development of subdivisions within the City of Maricopa and amending certain provisions of Sections 14-1-6 through 14-7-3 of the Maricopa City Code. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve this resolution regarding case #16-01, a request by the City of Maricopa to amend the City of Maricopa Subdivision Ordinance, specifically, Section 14-6-8 Street Design, and to update the provision therein, to be consistent with City Council approved Area Transportation Plan (ATP). The text amendment includes amendments in Article 14-1, 14-4, 14-5, 14-6 and 14-7 to remove ambiguities and provide clarity.
This item was previously presented and tabled by City Council on November 1, 2016. After internal meetings were held with the development stakeholders, as requested by City Council, the item is being presented again with modify amendments to Article 14-6. All other Articles (14-1, 14-4, 14-5 and 14-7) have not changed.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
On September 7, 2016 the Transportation Advisory Committee and on September 12, 2016 the Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously recommended the City Council to approve Text Amendment case # TXT16-01.
