TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall hear a presentation by Community Services Director, Nathan Ullyot, on the Global Water Partnership.  Discussion only.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

In February of 2019, Global Water Resources agreed to sponsor and fund several new and existing Community Services programming and events.  The majority of the funding went to create a new program called Maricopa Swims - Safe in the Water.  This program in partnership with MUSD brought 1^st graders from Maricopa Elementary and Butterfield Elementary Schools to Copper Sky to receive water safety lessons as a part of the school day.  Other programs supported included 5th Quarters, Tot Programming, and Special Events.

This report will share the outcomes of that program and thank Global Water for the support for the pilot program and continued support for the 2020 program.
