TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve an operations philosophy for managing and operating the new Multigenerational/Aquatics Facility. Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The design/preconstruction phase of the Multigenerational/Aquatic Facility project included a task to perform an operational/gap analysis study.  The analysis was performed in coordination with the programming efforts of the designer of the facility.  The purpose of the analysis was to provide the Mayor and City Council with the data necessary to make an informed decision on how to best operate the facility.  Brailsford & Dunlavey's (B&D's) approach required an active working relationship with the City of Maricopa and the community to develop an understanding of the City's mission, relevant stakeholders, customer groups, and strategic project objectives which best serve that mission.   The Operational Analysis Report sets forth B&D's findings and recommendations for the Multigenerational/Aqualitcs Facilities in the City of Maricopa.

The findings from the Operational Analysis Report were presented at the April 17, 2012 City Council Meeting and staff needs direction from Council on the recommended operations philosophy.
