TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approval of Site Plan Review Case #SPR12-08, the site plan for the proposed Donald N. Pearce Fire Station. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City of Maricopa, as the applicant for this case, requests that Council review and approve the site plan, landscape, photometric, and elevation plans for the proposed Donald N. Pearce Fire Station. The proposed Fire Station will generally be located on the southwest corner of Edison Road and Roosevelt Avenue; more specifically, parcel #510-17-005E.
On May 10, 2012, the Heritage District Citizen Advisory Committee voted in favor of the proposed elevations which are consistent with the Heritage District Design Guidelines.
On June 25, 2012, a motion was made by Planning and Zoning Commissioner Batt to approve the Site Plan Review case #SPR12-08 subject to the conditions recommended by the Commission, and was seconded by Commissioner Viser. Voice vote carried the motion unanimously, 7-0.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and Council consider the application for a Site Plan Review (SPR) 12-08 for the proposed development of the Donald N. Pearce Fire Station.
