TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve entering into an agreement with Neu & Company to provide a Visioning 2040 Strategic Plan in an amount not to exceed $46,000 and the approval of a budgetary transfer in an amount not to exceed $46,000 from General Fund, General Government, Contingency (10010000-99000) to General Fund, City Manager, Professional and Occupational (10011115-53320). In accordance with City of Maricopa Purchasing Code, Article 4, Section 3-220, Professional and Technical Services, solicitation is not required. Discussion and action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Based on City Council's direction from the presentation on visioning strategy presented at the May 20, 2014 Regular Council Meeting, staff is bringing forward a contract with Neu & Company to provide a Visioning 2040 Strategic Plan. Neu & Company, as our consultant, will assist the City's Project Leader, the Steering Committee, participants in the Community Forums, and the members of the Issue Project Teams in the processes and overall effort to create the Visioning 2040 Strategic Plan. The contract includes funding for training, meetings, and briefings.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council approve entering into an agreement with Neu & Company to provide a Visioning 2040 Strategic Plan in an amount not to exceed $46,000 and the approval of a budgetary transfer in an amount not to exceed $46,000 from General Fund, General Government, Contingency (10010000-99000) to General Fund, City Manager, Professional and Occupational (10011115-53320).
