TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving the purchase of a Dyna Jet L30 Cold Fogger for use by the Community Services Park Maintenance division. This purchase, in the amount not to exceed $15,000 is in compliance with City of Maricopa Purchasing Code Article IV, Section 3-213, Purchases in General and will be paid with a budget transfer of $15,000 from the City Contingency Fund (10010000-99000) to Park Maintenance, Non-Capital Improvements (10033132-55690). AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On March 15, 2016 Park Manager Mike Riggs gave a presentation on a proposed Community Services Mosquito Control Strategy. After discussing the various options, City Council recommended that staff proceed with the purchase of the Dyna Jet L30 which is the same system that was recommended and is in use by the Maricopa County Vector Control.
The Community Services department is requesting $15,000 from contingency to obtain the necessary equipment to provide mosquito vector control within our City parks to help reduce the chance of virus transfer and nuisance mosquitoes.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Mayor and City Council approve the transfer of funds from Contingency to Park Maintenance for the purchase of a Dyna Jet L30 Cold Fogger.
