TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action authorizing City Manager Rose to utilize discretionary funding in an amount not to exceed $50,000 for the purchase of a video camera monitoring solution for the Copper Sky Regional Park and a budgetary transfer in an amount not to exceed $50,000 from General Fund, General Government, Contingency (10010000-99000) to General Fund, Office of the Chief, Computer Equipment/Software (10022121-67744). AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Maricopa City Council received a presentation at the June 16th Work Study Session on a video camera monitoring solution specific to the Copper Sky Regional Park. Council approved further exploration into this solution for their action. Based on the research conducted to date, the solution can be implemented within the $50,000.00 threshold. The funding for this solution was not provided during the construction phase of the park and is not designated in the 2014-15 budget. Staff recommends approval permitting City Manager Rose funding this project utilizing discretionary funds. Approval allows the request for quotes (RFQ) process to begin.
