TITLE

A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, accepting public improvements and maintenance responsibility for southbound lanes and median of Porter Rd. between Smith Enke and Honeycutt.  Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The City has received a request by the owner/developer to accept the public improvements and maintenance responsibility for southbound lanes and median of Porter Rd. between Smith Enke and Honeycutt Rd.; a map showing the specific streets is included with the Resolution as Exhibit A.  City staff has performed field inspections to ensure that the improvements have been completed correctly and in accordance with the approved design.  Corrective measures are being prepared by Global Water and City staff to adjust vaults elevation and remove the existing depression on the road located at approximately 700’ north of Honeycutt. The improvements constructed by the developer have met the City's requirements for full acceptance.

This item will be presented by City Engineer Eduardo Raudales.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of the Resolution to accept public improvements and maintenance responsibility for southbound lanes and median of Porter Rd. between Smith Enke and Honeycutt Rd.
