Discussion and Action.
 
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Development Services Department has continued to operate with minimal levels of staffing support as a focus on fiscal conservation while ensuring a focus on excellence in customer service. However, due to unanticipated and extended absences of support staff members for medical purposes, the department is in need of contract services to fill administrative support staffing gaps and ensure uninterrupted service to customers.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council approval of a transfer of funds in an amount not to exceed $20,000 from General Fund, Contingency (10010000-99000) to Development Services, Administration (10044140-various salary and employee related expenses) for the provision of contract administrative support for the Development Services Department to ensure adequate customer service support through the remainder of the current fiscal year.
