Title: The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a contract with Pavement Markings, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 for striping of City streets. This contract, to be paid from the County ½ Cent Road Tax Fund, Transportation, Roads and Maintenance (30044146-54430), is based on Pinal County Cooperative Contract No. 07-11-12, and is in compliance with City of Maricopa Purchasing Code Article IV, Section 3-223 "Cooperative Purchasing." TITLE

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Staff is in the process of seeking approval for the application of micro seal and slurry seal to city streets as part of our annual preventative maintenance program.  As application of these sealants will render the existing striping useless, it will be necessary to reapply pavement markings to ensure pedestrian and vehicular safety and mobility on the affected streets.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the contract with Pavement Markings, Inc. for striping of City streets.
