TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a purchase of a mission critical microwave link between the Maricopa RWC Tower site and the Copper Sky Communication Center for the City of Maricopa Police Department in an amount not to exceed $59,017.  This purchase is in accordance with the City of Maricopa Purchasing Code, Article IV, Section 3-223, Cooperative Purchasing and will be paid from Capital Project fund, police Administration (35022121-67720-32016).  Discussion and Action.

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The purchase of a mission critical microwave link between the Maricopa RWC Tower and the Copper Sky Communications Center to create a redundant link for all police radio transmissions.  This will provide both microwave and fiber based (T1) communications.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council approve the purchase of a mission critical microwave link between the Maricopa RWC Tower site and the Copper Sky Communication Center for the City of Maricopa Police Department in an amount not to exceed $59,017.  This purchase is in accordance with the City of Maricopa Purchasing Code, Article IV, Section 3-223, Cooperative Purchasing and will be paid from Capital Project fund, police Administration (35022121-67720-32016).  Discussion and Action.
