TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on recommending approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Special Event Liquor License application submitted by Wendy Weber on behalf of the Province Community Association for special events known as Community Happy Hour on September 20, October 18, November 15 and December 20, 2012 to be held at 20942 N. Province Parkway, Maricopa, Arizona 85138. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Staff received a request from Wendy Weber on behalf of Province Community Association for approval of four Special Event Liquor Licenses for an event known as Community Happy Hour which is held on Thursday's from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates: September 20, 2012, October 18, 2012, November 15, 2012 and December 20, 2012. These events will be held at the Province Community Center which is located within Province at 20942 N Province Parkway, Maricopa, Arizona 85138. Province Community Association staff will be on duty to monitor the event and they also contract a security company that is on duty 24 hours a day.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control for the special event permit applications as submitted.
