TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on appointing one citizen to fill the vacancy on the Parks, Recreation and Libraries Advisory Committee. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On December 1, 2011, staff received a letter of resignation from Cecilia Estrada-Ashe therefore creating a vacancy on the Committee. Staff began recruiting immediately after receiving the letter of resignation. Staff since then received two applications, one from David Landers and another from Joi-Ashli Gibbs. Since Cecilia Estrada-Ashe was originally appointed by Mayor Smith, this will be his appointment.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Mayor Smith appoint one citizen to fill the vacancy on the Parks, Recreation and Libraries Committee.
