TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action to approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement with Al Hogenes, for the purchase of approximately 2.84 acres of right-of-way and drainage easements located along the south side of SR 238 between Green Road and the Ak-Chin community boundary in the amount of $196,891.00. AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The purchase of approximately 2.84 acres of right-of-way and drainage easements located along the south side of SR 238 between Green Road and the Ak-Chin community boundary, related to the City of Maricopa’s widening of SR 238 from John Wayne Parkway to two (2) miles west, project 38105.
The Purchase and Sale Agreement was originally prepared based on the initial estimate of 2.26 acres that was to be acquired from Al Hogenes. However, after further review of the City’s right-of-way needs along SR 238, it has been determined that the total acreage required for the roadway widening is 2.84 acres. This additional acreage and purchase price will be reflected in the title documents prepared during closing at a rate of $2.00 per square foot. Al Hogenes and his attorney have already approved the sale of the additional acreage as reflected on the revised Map of Dedication (Exhibit A).
The funding for the project will be drawn from GL# 20056161-67710-38105.
