TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall hear public comment regarding a request to abandon the public right of way for a portion of Taft Avenue between Lexington Avenue and Edison Road.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
A public hearing is required for all public right of way abandonments. Following this agenda item is a Resolution to formally abandon the right of way of Taft Avenue between Lexington Avenue and Edison Road and a Map of Dedication for Edison Road right of way. This portion of the road exists on the recorded plat; however the road has never physically existed. All utility providers have been contacted and no conflicts exist with this abandonment.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor open the public hearing for public comments.
