TITLE

Public Hearing. A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, approving the sale of approximately 193.9 acres of real property currently in escrow to be purchased by the city, assessor parcel number 510-49-003a and a portion of 510-49-003c, generally located at the Northwest corner of W. Steen Road and N. White and Parker Road, Maricopa, Pinal County, Arizona. Discussion and Action.

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The City of Maricopa (the “City”), is currently in escrow to purchase approximately 193.9 acres of certain real property generally located at the northwest corner of W. Steen Road and N. White and Parker Rd., Maricopa, Pinal County, Arizona with Assessor Parcel number 510-49-003A and a portion of 510-49-003C (the “Property”); Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, has determined that proposed sale of the Property is in the best interest of the City as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to create the Maricopa Business Park, which would promote economic development, job creation, community development and infrastructure development; and the City has complied with the requirements and procedures in Arizona Revised Statues § 9-403 related to the sale of City-owned real property, including publishing an invitation for bid as prescribed in A.R.S. §9-402 and holding a public hearing to allow for public input on the proposed sale of the Property.
