TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action on approving a Subrecipient Agreement with Pinal County for FY2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
In July 20, 2021, the Mayor and City Council approved a Joint Agreement with Pinal County for the distribution of CDBG Funds and the CDBG Entitlement Program. The City of Maricopa is expected to receive a total of $222,826.00 in CDBG funds that will be used for Phase 1 of Heritage District Roadway Improvements.
Scope of Work
Design of Heritage District Improvements (Cesar Chavez Ln. and Heritage Ln.) and construction of phase 1 of the improvements. Phase 1 consists of construction of Cesar Chavez Ln. including the removal and replacement of asphalt and the installation of curb & gutter, sidewalk, ADA ramps, retention, and a street light. Phase 2 of the project will be done with FY2023 CDBG funding.
Grant funding is programmed in the City's FY22-23 Capital Improvement Plan, funding source 352 and project 40079.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of Subrecipient Agreement with Pinal County for FY2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding.
