AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On June 5, 2012 Council approved a contract award with CORE Construction for Fire Station 572.  This project had a limited budget and the project was phased over several fiscal years to allow the project to be built within the CIP funding and revenue available.

This fiscal year's capital projects budget includes the funding necessary to begin the second phase of construction, which will include fencing, additional landscaping, site lighting, and other site and building improvements.  The Fire Department has requested additional money to finish the desired projects.  The contract scope is structured such that additional work may be authorized under future appropriations.  Staff anticipates bringing forward a request for Council authorization of the continuation of this contract next fiscal year.

This item will be presented by William P. Fay, Public Works Director.
