...AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The intergovernmental agreement (IGA) will allow the County of Pinal and the City of Maricopa to share a regional Mass Notification System in the event of an emergency for the purpose of saving lives and preventing injury during a critical incident. Pinal County received a Homeland Security grant for the purpose of the creation of a regional mass notification system along with the counties of Gila, Graham and Greenlee. This mass notification system is called Everbridge. All municipalities who maintain a full time Public Safety Answering Point facility (PSAP) such as the City of Maricopa, may enter into an IGA for this mass notification system at no immediate cost.
There is no financial impact.
