AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The Maricopa Economic Development Alliance (MEDA) is a nonprofit organization serving the Maricopa community through utilization of the benefits of public/private partnerships. The mission of MEDA is to champion strategies and solutions that foster economic growth and prosperity in the City of Maricopa.

Bill Stacy, President and CEO of MEDA will provide a update and overview of the organizations key initiatives for FY16-17 and Steve Bast will provide a recap on MEDA marketing efforts for FY15-16 and details of the new marketing plan for FY16-17. The purpose of the presentation is to keep the City Council informed of the Maricopa Economic Development Alliance's past activities for FY15-16 and goals and initiatives for the upcoming fiscal year.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council hear the annual presentation to recap FY15-16 and present the key initiatives for FY16-17 for the Maricopa Economic Development Alliance.
