TITLE

An Ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, amending Section 2-82 of the Maricopa City Code to add the Veteran Affairs Committee as a Standing Committee.  Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

On August 16, 2016, the City Council gave staff direction to create a Veteran Affairs Committee.  Since the Veteran Affairs Committee will be a standing committee, Section 2-82 of the Maricopa City Code needs to be amended to include the Veteran Affairs Committee as a Council Established Committee.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of Ordinance 16-08 to include the Veteran Affairs Committee as a Council Established Committee.
