TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve the 2015-2017 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Maricopa Sergeants Council - Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #78. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City of Maricopa and the Maricopa Sergeants Council - Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #78 began negotiations in January 2015. Negotiations concluded in April 2015. This MOU is based on meetings between management staff and representatives of the Maricopa Sergeants Council - Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #78. These meetings took place in accordance with the Meet and Confer Ordinance 11-09, Article VI of the City Code. The cost of this MOU is projected to be neutral for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 and Fiscal Year 2016-2017.
If approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Maricopa Sergeants Council - Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #78 have been professional during the negotiations with the City of Maricopa, and their open communication and spirit of cooperation have been appreciated.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council approve the 2015-2017 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Maricopa Sergeants Council - Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #78.
