Public Safety is critical to the well-being of every community. Target is committed to partnering with law enforcement and public safety organizations to build stronger and safer communities across the nation. This partnership is called Target & Blue. Target assists public safety agencies through the following:

1. Safe City
2. National Night Out
3. Law Enforcement Grant Program
4. Equipment Donation Program
5. Investigative Support
6. Forensic Services
7. Sting Trailers

National Night Out is a key part of Target & Blue as it brings neighborhoods together. National Night Out is designed to heighten the awareness of crime and drug prevention, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood unity and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Since 1990, the Law Enforcement Grant Program has awarded more than $3.5 million dollars to law enforcement agencies across the county. The program funds equipment, training and programs that enhance safety in communities. Grant focus areas in this program are crime prevention, law enforcement training and education, youth programs, preparedness/crisis response, and organized retail crime.
