The Mayor and City Council shall hear public comment regarding Annexation Case 11-01.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Public Hearing #ANX 11-01 Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statues ยง9-471, the Mayor and the City Council will discuss the blank petition for Annexation Case #11-01, which has been amended, and the map area reduced from approximately 3,260 acres to 251 acres. This petition was filed by the City with the Pinal County Recorder on June 21, 2012, Docket Fee #2012-052653. The Mayor and City Council will also consider adoption of Ordinance 12-06 to incorporate the territory within the City's municipal boundaries.
This public hearing is to take additional testimony from members of the public on the proposed Annexation 11-01. Public testimony was previously taken on August 16, 2011. Since that time the annexation has been significantly reduced. Staff believes it is prudent to offer an additional public hearing on the reduced annexation. Staff recommends that a public hearing be held on Annexation 11-01.
