TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action to approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Pinal County by and through the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for the purpose of use of shooting range. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City Council shall discuss and possibly approve an Intergovernmental Agreement with Pinal County and the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for the purpose of the use of shooting range which is managed and operated by Pinal County Sheriff's Office. The purpose of the Intergovernmental Agreement sets forth the responsibilities and obligations of the Parties in relation to the County granting the User Agency limited use and access to the shooting range and to address related legal and administrative matters among the Parties. For the use of the Range, User Agency will pay Pinal County Sheriff's Office two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) as part of a cost sharing agreement. User Agency shall pay Pinal County Sheriff's Office on a yearly basis and payment is due on July 31st of each year.
This Agreement shall become effective on the Effective Date and shall continue in full force and effect for three (3) years. Either Party may terminate the Agreement upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other Party.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of Intergovernmental Agreement with Pinal County by and through the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for the purpose of use of shooting range.
