The Mayor and City Council shall hear a presentation acknowledging the completion of the spring session of the Maricopa Citizens Leadership Academy (MCLA).
 
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Since 2008, the City has hosted a program that introduces Maricopa residents and business leaders to the inner workings of their local government. More than 155 residents have completed the program since that time.
 
The Citizens Leadership Academy provides an interesting perspective into the workings of Maricopa. Through a series of interactive and informative workshops, participants gain valuable knowledge of Maricopa that will prepare them to become a more active participant in the community.

This year's potential graduates are:

The program costs approximately $300 each session which includes light refreshments, binders and certificates. The next Maricopa Citizen Leadership Academy is scheduled to start in the Fall of 2015.

Staff would like to present the most recent graduates of the MCLA. No additional action is required.
