TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on acceptance of the Information Technology Evaluation & Strategic Technology Plan report detailing the analysis, findings, and recommendations of the Information Technology Division of the Finance/Administrative Services Department conducted by LBL Technology Partners. Discussion and Action.
 
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On February 5, 2013, the Mayor and City Council approved an agreement with LBL Technology Partners to evaluate the City's information technology services in order to pursue its goal of continuous improvement and develop an Information Technology Strategic Plan for the City of Maricopa.
 
Through April 2013, LBL Technology Partners worked with the stakeholders, organizational leaders, and decision makers to develop detailed recommendations on the best use of technology to serve staff and the citizens of Maricopa.  Included in the report is a prioritization of the recommendations tailored to meet the future needs of the City.  Based on Mayor and Council feedback, staff will immediately begin to assess the recommendations and bring items for approval beginning with the July 16, 2013 City Council Regular Meeting.
 
Consultants from LBL Technology will be present to review highlights of the report.
 
This item will be presented by Assistant City Manager Tom Duensing.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Mayor and Council accept the Information Technology Evaluation & Strategic Technology Plan report detailing the analysis, findings, and recommendations of the Information Technology Division of the Finance/Administrative Services Department conducted by LBL Technology Partners.
