TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to extend the contract to MakPro Services for public outreach for the SR 347 Grade Separation project. This award is based on the City of Peoria contract ACON23213C for Public Information and Public Outreach Services and is in accordance with City of Maricopa Purchasing Code, Article IV, Section 3-223, Cooperative Purchasing. There is no additional cost for this contract extension. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On September 9, 2014, Council approved a contract with MakPro Services for public outreach for the SR347 Grade Separation project. This action will extend the contract through the duration of the grade separation construction. Under this contract, MakPro Services will provide public outreach and coordination on behalf of the City of Maricopa (City) on the SR 347 grade separation project. MakPro will work directly with public outreach counterparts from Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Union Pacific, as the City’s representative to enhance our cumulative outreach efforts and ensure coordination of messages through the life of this multi-faceted project. Public outreach will consist of assisting ADOT with public meetings, holding targeted public meeting for specific stakeholders if deemed necessary, coordination of construction detours and road closures, providing web site and telephone hot line updates to the public, as well as providing regular email updates on project progress for project stakeholders.
