AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation was created to extend the Firehouse Subs mission to give back to the community from where the founders started, in the firehouse. Since Firehouse Subs was founded by firemen, what better way than to lend a helping hand to hometown heroes. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation was created to ease the burden of fire department, law enforcement and other emergency service entities by providing funding, resources and support. In order to accomplish its mission, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation:

1. Provides emergency service entities with life-saving equipment.
2. Provides prevention and educational tools to the public about the importance of fire safety, emergency services, and natural disaster preparedness in order to prevent disasters in the home and community.
3. Provides financial resources to individuals pursuing a career in public safety.
4. Provides ground assistance during disasters by feeding victims and medical workers on the scene.
The ATV or medical unit would be utilized by the fire department to increase accessibility to remote sections of the desert, river washes, stretches of terrain along the railroad tracks and at community events to provide medical assistance.
This item will be presented by Fire Chief, Brady Leffler and Community Programs Manager, Mary Witkofski.
