TITLE
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona naming of the facility adjacent to City Hall, currently being remodeled for additional City offices. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The former Police Department building has been remodeled to provide additional office space for City operations. The additional office space will accommodate the relocation of the Development Services Department and the Office of Economic Opportunity, creating additional synergy by having these teams work more closely together while also creating additional capacity within the existing City Hall to support future staff growth.
At the previous City Council meeting, three members of the City Council volunteered to meet with Staff to discuss possible options for identifying the renovated facility. After these conversations, the recommendations were to identify the facility as either:
1. Business & Development Center
2. Business & Development Services
A mock-up of the signage has been created for a "Development Center", and is attached for reference, to show where the exterior signage would be placed on the building. The ultimate signage will reflect the name selected by the City Council.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve the naming of the facility.
