The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action on recommending approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for an application for a special event liquor license provided by Brenda Campbell to allow Roots Eatery to serve alcohol during a special event known as Copa Cultural Night Market on April 27th, 2024 at Copper Sky Recreation Complex 44345 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Maricopa, AZ 85138. Discussion and action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The state of Arizona department of Liquor Licenses and Control requires that an application for a special event license be approved by local government before submission to their office.
In preparation for the Copa Cultural Night Market that is planned for April 27th, 2024 at Copper Sky, Brenda Campbell has applied for Councils' consideration in recommending approval for the special event liquor license.
This is the third year in producing this multi-cultural event. A celebration of diversity and the arts is the focus and being able to incorporate various food offerings from different cultures as well as beverages in the beer garden, provides a unique element of the event. We will be charging for parking and strongly encouraging pre-sale parking and complimentary shuttle service.

Staff recommends The Mayor and City Council consider the approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a special event liquor license for the Copa Cultural Night Market on April 27th, 2024.
